I had the pleasure of visiting my brother and his family down in Florida this past weekend. I got to spend some quality time with my two and half month old nephew, Nick and my two and half year old nephew, Jack. (and their dog Ash too) What a joy they both are! <3

This beautiful couple was married at The Lake Lure Inn on 10.10.10. The beautiful bride had a big surprise when her zipper broke that day but excepted it with grace and her aunt was able to sew her into her dress! This wedding was a ton of FUN! These two are a great couple! The power went out during the reception... so what do you do? Move the party to the parking lot! Luckily the power came back on and the dancing continued into the night just as it started to rain again.

Michigan Photos from the past 70 years!

My family has been going up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan since before my mother was born. I have scanned photos since the 1940s of our family up in Michigan. I am planning on creating a coffee table style book out of these photos plus others that I hope to be able to gather from the rest of the family. These primarily come from my mom and my own personal collection. I am really excited to create a book that the whole family can be a part of and own a copy for themselves.

I have been thinking a lot about photographing flowers lately. A friend of mine gave me this orchid for Christmas and I got some beautiful photos of it today. I think photographing flowers is a good reason to buy flowers for your house, don't you?

Another Bridal Show success! I have had a wonderful response from those of you that I met at the bridal show on Saturday. It was a great experience to design my 10'x10' space this time around. I had a lot of time to think about it! And I am very proud of how it turned out. I have a few photos here taken with a camera phone... so excuse the low quality but at least I have photos this time! Thanks for all of the brides interested in my photography services. I look forward to a busy season of photographing weddings!

Wedding Festival

Jan. 10th is the next big wedding Festival and I am busy getting ready! I am trying something a little different this time so be sure to come and check out my both. I am going to be right in the middle of the show! I just got back from a week of traveling, seeing my family up in PA and seeing some friends in WVA and being in VA at my parents house. It was good to see everyone, but I was sick most of the time and I am still recovering. I promise I'll be all better by the 10th! Successful Bridal Fair!

Yes! The bridal Fair on Thursday was a success! Thanks to everyone who came out and talked to me. It was so nice to meet all of you. I hope to be talking with many of you soon about your upcoming wedding and how fabulous your wedding photos are going to be. ;) I know I said I'd put up a photo of my booth here... but I forgot to take a photo! Can you believe it? As I was taking down my booth my assistant asked if I had gotten a photo and I had forgotten and it was too late! OOPS! Well, I met some really wonderful people and am glad to have been able to be there. And if you missed my booth, I am offering a 10% discount for all who attended the bridal fair. I'll be sending out another way to get that discount soon! Thanks All!

Bridal fairs!

This Thursday I am doing a bridal fair at the civic center here in Asheville. I am finally getting myself back out there to do weddings now that I have moved to Asheville. I have been here for over 4 months! I can't believe how quickly time has flown! I am hoping (keep your fingers crossed for me) that my stickers and mini cards that I ordered last week get here in time. I am a last minute Bridal fair goer so I have had very little time to plan. I have done a few bridal fairs in the past but I wanted to one up myself this time and give out some fun gifts to the brides.... I hope I get to give everyone my stickers! I'll have to post photos of my booth here after Thursday and let you know how everything goes. Maybe if you are reading this.. you were there.. and if that's the case then it was successful!
